PXE systems can be in one of three states:

State Description
undeployed not currently within a PXE domain.
deployed and inactive within a PXE domain but not handling message exchanges or external interactions.
deployed and active within a PXE domain, handling message exchanges and external interactions.

These states are interrelated as follows:

Unable to render embedded object: File (system_states.jpg) not found.

Changes in the state of a system are atomic and transacted by the domain.
